completely new system, we have the wide range of skills needed to take it from
initial conception to final roll-out. We call this our
Full Project Support. However, we also realize that many projects are not of the 'rip and replace' type (where you are starting afresh on a completely new system). Many projects, instead, involve incremental changes or extensions to existing systems. To accommodate such projects, we can also offer our services on an à la carte basis for what we call 'Project Assists'. |
After initial careful analysis of your business problem or
opportunity, we can design software systems to address it. We can then
develop these designs into appropriate databases and programs. After
appropriate user-acceptance testing and user-training, the system
can be implemented. We can then continue to support the system -

System Migrations
You may have 'out-grown' a previous solution. We can help you migrate
from, say, Excel to Access, or from Access to SQL-Server. By the way, our
congratulations on your recent growth!

System Upgrades You might want to convert from an earlier version of an
application (or operating system) to a current one. Hopefully, this can be more
of an 'opportunity' than a problem.

Data
Conversion/Processing If you are
switching systems, we can help with the process of migrating the data from the
old system to the new one. If you have other specialized needs for data
'transformations' (either one-time or periodic) we can create the tools you
need. We know that data can sometimes be 'dirty' - don't worry - we'd be
surprised if it wasn't.

Completions/Extensions If you've already begun the development of a
system, we can help expand on what you have. We can either work alongside the
original developer(s) or, if you wish, we can 'take it from here'. We'll be
happy to keep you 'in the loop' - we understand that, ultimately, it's still

Analysis/Reporting You may already have the data that you need, but
perhaps you don't currently have the capability to analyze or report it in the
ways that you want. We can help by providing you with powerful and flexible data
analysis and reporting tools. We have expertise in statistics and have probably
already developed examples of just about every financial report known to man -
at least twice!

Database
Administration Your database is a valuable asset. We can make sure
that it is safe and secure by implementing appropriate security schemes and
backup regimes. Far better safe than sorry!

System Performance
Improvements If your current system response is too slow, we can help
find and fix the problem, whether it's due to hardware configuration, database
design (physical or logical) or unoptimized database query commands. A little of
our time could save a lot of yours!

Customization/Extension of Software If you are using a pre-packaged system which uses an ODBC database (basically, any non-proprietary data store), we can provide a 'parallel gateway' into the database. Such a mechanism can then be used to provide capabilities that may be lacking from the packaged software - such as bulk data imports/processing, or extended reporting capabilities. |
