| We have an extensive portfolio of successful projects
with clients in a wide-range of industries, and non-commercial
organizations. Clients have ranged from small local firms to multi-national
Fortune 50 Corporations.
Below is just a sampling of recent clients, demonstrating this range. If
your industry isn't represented, please contact us. The chances are that we've
developed systems for your industry too. |
|
WEB-BASED SCHEDULING
We developed an online booking system to be used by
sports facilities (e.g. tennis clubs) to allow members to view real-time
availability and to make online bookings. The system has advanced facilities for
club staff to efficiently manage schedules, track payments, etc.. |
|
MANUFACTURING
For a Fortune 50 chemical manufacturer, we
developed a system used internationally (in 30 countries) to schedule, track and
manage their program of site audits. Each site maintains their own data in a
local database - this means they have quick and ready access to their own data.
In addition, each of the local databases is
automatically synchronized with a central 'HQ' database which pools data from
all the sites. This central database is used by management for corporate-wide
overview and management.

TELEVISION
For the cable TV operation of SNET we
developed a system to help them report and analyze sales and operational data.
This information was then used for assessing the effectiveness of sales
campaigns, and for other strategic decision-making purposes.
The system processes several gigabytes of
information daily and makes this available to the users through an interactive
reporting front-end.

REAL ESTATE
Using published information from several
towns, we created a database of Grand List data (comprising property details for
all residential and commercial properties). This data was then merged (using
intelligent address-matching) to commercially available telephone directories.
The combined database was then used as an effective marketing tool. Software was
developed to allow this resource to be used as the basis for targeted phone and
mailing promotion campaigns.
Another database was created to compile the
requirements of prospective house-buyers. This list of 'wants' is periodically
compared with an on-line database of available properties. When the system finds
matches (between a buyer's requirements and an available property). The buyer
can then be notified by e-mail within minutes of a suitable new property coming
on the market!

LUMBER EXPORT
The client had begun development of an
Access-based
system for entering sales orders. We worked closely with the client to extend the
system to encompass the entering and tracking of domestic and export orders, the
issuing and tracking of invoices. We added sub-systems to also track inventory
and allocate inventory to orders, manage sales commissions for international
agents, and track travel for company personnel.
More recently the client also acquired an ERP
system based on SQL-Server. We have worked closely with them to administer and
tune the database, and have added extensive additional reporting and management
capabilities.

WAREHOUSE DISTRIBUTION
We provided a Sales Force Automation tool that
allows the sales agents to carry a full inventory database with them (on laptop
PCs) while they visit customers. The database has flexible searching facilities
(by SKU, by manufacturer, product name etc.). Custom pricing schemes can be
established for each customer.
A similar database is now made available to the
customers themselves. Each customer's database incorporates their own
appropriate pricing scheme. Customers can browse the database, create online
orders and then automatically dispatch them via e-mail. When the e-mailed orders
are received by the distributor, they are automatically processed and submitted
to the order-handling system.

UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATION
For a department of Yale University with an
active 'outreach' program we provide system development and support services.
The main functions include tracking the enrollment, mailings and payments for
attendance to hosted training sessions, a Departmental Contacts database with
links to other tracking functions, analysis and reporting of (sociological)
experimental data. We also advise and assist the department's own 'power-users'
with Access development tasks. |
 |
TRANSPORTATION
For a national transportation brokering
service we analyzed the client's requirements for a system that would facilitate
quote-making, order-taking, order-processing, load-tracking and general
accounting.
Working closely with the client, a system was
designed that was consistent with their current operations, but which provided
improved system robustness and was more flexible to accommodate future
expansions.
All the client's pre-existing data was transferred
into the new system to provide a virtually seamless transition to using the new
system.
The user-interface for the new system was
deliberately designed to closely resemble the client's previous system. This
high level of compatibility minimized the need for user re-training.

AIRCRAFT
SALES & SERVICE
The client sells, services and charters jet
and piston aircraft. The client uses a commercial accounting package that we
have customized for the specifics of their particular business. Where necessary,
we have created additional 'modules' that interface to their core accounting
database. These modules manage the types of data that the generic accounting
package was not able to handle. |
